Crochet · Depression

10 rows a day keeps the physiatrist away….

I’ve fallen a little bit in love with crochet. Who knew that 30 year after my gran tried so hard to get me to share her hobby I would finally sit down and teach myself it properly.  It’s definitely something that could become addictive! Its relaxing in a way that helps me, not just that it takes my mind off other things but it focuses me too.

I’ve been following a class on craftsy.com, learning by making little cute animals that my kids seem to appreciate too.

The blue bird was my first project, the pink bear was next then Rudolph I finished at 3am because I promised my little boy it would be ready for him before school.

It might be daft but its nice to feel somewhat productive and creative, its been a while since I’ve been able to say that.

I fancy attempting a Yoda or maybe an Elphaba from Wicked doll next. Or a blanket, or a poncho……..
